I saw a clip of the Elonex One on the BBC website the other day from some education show and it looks pretty good for £100! Dosen't look amazingly pretty and I doubt it could even spell hdtv playback, but for £100 it might fill the void at the bottom end...

Not available until June I think, but I'm sure there will be some reviews around before then. haven't got a clue what processor or memory etc., but it does run a flavour of linux.

the spec doesn't look too hot to be honest. 800 x 480 screen (7in ), 128Mb RAM, 1Gb of flash storage, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, stereo speakers and a microphone. The processor is something called "LNX Code 8 Mobile Processor" running at 300MHz. Doesn't sound too quick.

Oh - the linux is a version of Debian linux.
